Strand Theatre Presents "Mrs Bob Cratchits Wild Chrismas Binge"
Christopher Durand turns Charles Dickens' holiday classic on its head. In this hilarious parody, the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future are all played by one sassy actress who keps showing up way too early, Scrooge refuses to repent, and Mrs Bob Cratchit decides to get drunk and jump off the London Bridge. Christmas Day in New Waverly

The Lions Club Parade kicks off the event at 11am. Several vendors will have Christmas gifts available on the parking lot next to the Post Office. In case of inclement weather the vendors will be in the new Library 10a-2p. Pet photos with Santa will be at the Veterinary Hospital of New Waverly. Dickens on the Strand - Galveston

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!  Be it decreed that all lords, ladies and children shall come and celebrate the 34th Annual Dickens on The Strand, a holiday festival, where bobbies, Beefeaters and the Queen herself will be on hand to recreate the Victorian London of Charles Dickens. Today is the 100th Anniversary of Peck, Texas becoming Tomball; Named after Thomas Henry Ball. After celebrating the anniversary all year, all that is left is a Birthday Celebration. A day where you can ride the famous 489 foot elevator to the top of the monument, view the digital presentation of the battle of San Jancinto.
